What Happens on Installation Day

We drain the system, take out the old boiler, fit the new one and connect the flue and condensate. The system is then flushed, refilled, pressure tested and the controls set up. We run the heating and hot water with you before we leave.

Warranty, Building Control and Paperwork

Every install is registered with the manufacturer so your warranty starts on day one, and notified to Building Control, which produces the certificate you need when you sell. You get the benchmark record filled in as well, which manufacturers ask for at warranty claims.

Will my heating be off all day during a boiler installation?

For most of it, yes. On a straight swap the water and heating go off in the morning and are back on by late afternoon. On a two day job we leave you with running water overnight where the system allows it. We tell you which applies when we quote.

Do I need a power flush with a new boiler?

Not always. If the system is fairly clean, a chemical flush and a magnetic filter are enough. Older systems with black sludge in the radiators need a full power flush, otherwise the debris ends up in the new boiler. We check the water before advising.

Will you take the old boiler away?

Yes. The old boiler, packaging and any scrap pipework leave with us and are recycled properly. There is no extra charge and nothing left in your driveway. We clear and clean the working area before we finish for the day.
